All blocks are made with timber from forest thinning of Yamagata prefecture in northern Japan, that is covered with forest (75%) and it is traditionally known for its wooden toys like Shogi (Japanese chess) and Kokeshi (traditional Japanese dolls). New Tech Shinsei, Mokulock manufacturer, is a company specialized in the manufacturing mechanical equipment of the high precision. The amazing combination of Japanese tradition and technology gave birth to Mokulock!

Interlock of each piece is verified by hand. Manufacturer of Mokulock warns, however, some of the blocks may be distorted when it is exposed to different temperature and humidity due to the nature of the material.
Mokulock bricks are all-natural. No adhesive is used.

Made with six different kinds of trees (Cherry, Japanese Bigleaf Magnolia, Maple, Hornbeam, Birch and Japanese Zelkova) which gives these pieces very nice nuance.
